Ukrainian writer and journalist
TTanya Maljarchuk, born in 1983 in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine, studied philology at the University of Ivano-Frankivsk and worked as a journalist in Kiev after graduating. In 2009, her collection of stories "Nine Percent Household Vinegar" was published in German, in 2013 her novel "Biography of an Accidental Miracle", in 2014 "Of Hares and Other Europeans", and in 2019 her novel "Blue Whale of Memory". In 2018, Tanja Maljartschuk received the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize. The author writes regular columns and lives in Vienna.
