Chair of the Federal Reserve
Jerome Powell, born in 1953, has been Chair of the Federal Reserve since 5 February 2018. After studying politics at Princeton and law at Georgetown University, Powell worked as an attorney and investment banker, and later joined the Department of the Treasury under President George H.W. Bush. In addition to sitting on various boards of directors, he was also a member of the boards of multiple charities and educational institutions.
