She explains how the charismatic philosopher thought - and how we should think when our politics are coming apart at the seams. Short Bio

Lyndsey Stonebridge is Professor of Humanities and Human Rights at the University of Birmingham. She researches 20th-century political theory, literature and history, migration and human rights, and the impact of violence on life and thought. Her multi-award-winning books include: "Placeless People: Writing, Rights, and Refugees" (2018) and "The Judicial Imagination: Writing After Nuremberg" (2011). Stonebridge is also a regular radio commentator and writes for “The New Statesman”, “Prospect Magazine” and “New Humanist”. She lives in London.
