If women are no longer "real women" - what is a "real man" today? In the last 40 years, thanks to the impetus of feminism, the situation of women has improved enormously: legally, socially and economically. This has shaken the balance of power between the sexes - and unsettled men. This development is exciting, but also dangerous.

Short Bio

Alice Schwarzer, born 1942 in Wuppertal, journalist and essayist, is one of the best-known representatives of the German women's movement. In addition to her journalistic work (since 1966), she has published numerous books, including biographies on Countess Dönhoff and Romy Schneider, an essay on emancipation, "Die Antwort" (2007), and an anthology on the danger of Islamism: "Die grosse Verschleierung" (2010). Most recently, she published her autobiography: "Lebenslauf" (2011). In 1977, she founded the magazine "Emma", of which she is still the publisher and editor-in-chief.
